1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website angielawless.com ("Site") or any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Friends of Angie Lawless ("Campaign," "we," "us," or "our").

2. About the Campaign

This Site is operated by Friends of Angie Lawless, the principal campaign committee for Angie Lawless, candidate for Tennessee State House District 59. J. Brandon Miller serves as Treasurer. The Campaign is registered with the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a United States citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident to make a contribution or take any action that requires the submission of personal information through the Site.

4. Contributions

By making a contribution, you certify that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

  • You are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident.

  • This contribution is made from your own funds and not from the funds of another person or entity.

  • You are not a federal contractor.

  • The funds are not being provided to you by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

  • You are not contributing using a corporate or business credit card unless authorized by Tennessee law.

Contribution limits. Contributions are subject to applicable Tennessee state law and limits set by the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance. For the 2026 election cycle, individual contributions to a state House candidate are limited as established by Tennessee Code Annotated § 2-10-302 and updated by the Registry. Excess contributions will be returned.

Refunds. Contribution refund requests should be sent to info@angielawless.com within 30 days of the contribution. Refund eligibility is at the discretion of the Campaign, subject to applicable law.

Tax deductibility. Contributions to Friends of Angie Lawless are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

5. Communications Consent

Email. By providing your email address, you consent to receive campaign-related emails, including updates on the candidate, events, and fundraising appeals. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Text Messages (SMS/MMS). By providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive recurring autodialed and prerecorded campaign text messages from or on behalf of the Campaign at the number provided, including messages about events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising. Consent is not a condition of any contribution. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. By providing your phone number, you also represent that you are the subscriber to the wireless service for that number, or that you are authorized to incur charges on the account.

Calls. You may also receive live or autodialed phone calls from the Campaign or its representatives at the number you provide.

6. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of, the Site by any third party. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems.

  • Posting or transmitting any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Using the Site to send unsolicited communications, advertising, or spam.

  • Impersonating any person or entity.

  • Interfering with the proper functioning of the Site.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, and the "Angie Lawless for State House 59" name and logo — is the property of Friends of Angie Lawless or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without express written permission from the Campaign, except for personal, non-commercial use consistent with these Terms.

8. User-Submitted Content

If you submit any content to the Site (including comments, testimonials, photos, or feedback), you grant the Campaign a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute that content in any media for any campaign-related purpose. You represent that any content you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our [Privacy Policy], which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (including ActBlue for processing contributions). The Campaign is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of those services is at your own risk and subject to the third party's terms.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Statements made on the Site reflect the positions of the candidate and the Campaign and are not intended as legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CAMPAIGN, ITS AGENTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Campaign, its officers, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
